Interviewing Skills

Preparing for interviews can give you the confidence you need to highlight your skills and accomplishments during the interviewing process.

To prepare for interview process:

  • Practice interviewing online with InterviewStream. InterviewStream is a free online interview preparation tool that allows you to record a practice interview session, replay it, and email it to others for review.
  • Attend either the Interviewing Skills Workshop or the Advanced Interviewing Skills Workshop.
  • Sign up for a practice interview with a DePaul alumnus. DePaul's ASK (Alumni Sharing Knowledge) Volunteer Network gives you the opportunity to enhance your interviewing skills by meeting with an ASK volunteer. During a one-on-one session, the ASK volunteer will conduct a practice job interview and provide helpful tips and feedback. Go to DePaul.Experience to find schedules.
  • Set up an appointment with a Career Advisor for a practice interview by calling the Loop office at (312) 362-8437 or the Lincoln Park office at (773) 325-7431.
