Meet the PCAPs
Laura Anderson
Hi Everyone! My name is Laura Anderson and I am currently pursuing a Master of Education in Counseling with a concentration in College Student Development here at DePaul University. After graduating from Augustana College I first pursued a career as an executive recruiter in the field of Finance and Accounting as a means of helping place people into jobs. I then went onto work as an executive assistant for the CEO of a Hedge Fund and still I was not completely satisfied, as I felt more of a need to connect and engage with people on a more personal level. I am thrilled to be a part of DePaul’s career center as a Peer Career Advisor this year and I feel that I have finally found my niche and passion working closely with students to accomplish self -discovery and career related goals. The Career Center has proven to be a great place to develop your resume, gain career guidance and overall serves as a source to help students feel less anxiety about the job search process and more confident about their future plans and goals. When I am not critiquing resumes and cover letters, I am either playing sand volleyball or coaching girl’s high school volleyball at the Latin School. Please feel free to stop by and meet with a Peer Career Advisor—as we love visitors and we love to help!
Stephanie Anyaeche
Hello everyone! My name is Stephanie Anyaeche and this is my first year as a Peer Career Advisor! I am currently a graduate student in the School of Education (concentration in Secondary Education-English. Prior to attending DePaul, I graduated from the University of Illinois with a B.A. in English. I also served as an AmeriCorps Vista through Illinois Campus Compact, working to promote community service and service learning opportunities among college students and faculty members. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with family and close friends, reading, meeting new people, and watching movies. We encourage you to stop by the Career Center and take advantage of the many career-related resources we offer current students and alumni. See you all soon!
Ashley Brazil
Hi, everybody! I’m a second year here at DePaul, majoring in International Studies. This is my first year as a PCAP and I couldn't be any more thrilled! I was so impressed by the services that I received at the Career Center that I decided to become a Peer Career Advisor, doing my part to provide help to students in the same warm manner that I received it. In my spare time I enjoy reading and writing, playing the violin, and volunteering. Stop by and see us! We would love to help you with any career–related questions that you may have.
Jonathan Chow
Hi everyone! My name is Jon and I am a senior in the college of LA&S, studying Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Business Management and Communications. Throughout my years at DePaul, I was fortunate enough to have wonderful advisors who helped me personally and professionally. How each of them has helped me throughout my studies and career path has motivated me to want to help my fellow peers in the same manner. This is my second year as a Peer Career Advisor. I have met many great students who shared with me their story and goals, and I hope I continue to meet many more. So, stop by the Career Center anytime, and we'll work together on getting you to where you want to be :-D.
Laura Hahn
Hi! My name is Laura Hahn and this is my first year as a Peer Career Advisor! I am currently a third year student studying English with a minor in Women’s Studies. Throughout my time at DePaul I have been a Chicago Quarter Mentor, a STARS Mentor, an M3C Mentor, and an LSP 121 tutor. I absolutely love working with other students and have been thoroughly impressed by the Career Center’s resources, which is what initially encouraged me to become a PCAP. Outside of DePaul, I love reading, writing, riding bikes, and baking my famous cinnamon sugar cookies! I enjoy helping people edit their resumes and cover letters, as well as answering any other questions students may have. I hope to see you soon!

Hello! My name is Sylvia and I am a junior at DePaul majoring in psychology. This is my second year as a PCAP. I was lucky enough to be directed towards the Career Center by one of my advisors and found it to be incredibly helpful. For this reason I decided to become a peer career advisor—I truly believe in what the Career Center has to offer. I enjoy socializing and learning from other people; everyone has their own fascinating story. I also like reading and watching movies. Please stop by with any questions you may have. Orlando Pastore
Hi everyone. My name is Orlando Pastore. I am a senior undergraduate student majoring in Accounting. This is my first year as a Peer Career Advisor, and I am very excited to share my knowledge and experience with fellow students! Searching for jobs and internships is a very exciting time for DePaul students, but it can definitely be overwhelming. Fortunately, the DePaul Career Center has some amazing resources to help make the process easier and a bit less stressful. While searching for an internship last year, I took advantage of the services offered by the Career Center including resume and cover letter critiques by Peer Career Advisors. The suggestions and advice provided by the Peer Career Advisors truly helped me to understand and refine both documents. After a very busy Fall quarter, I participated in several interviews and was able to successfully obtain an internship which eventually led to a full-time, post-graduation job offer in public accounting. I am very thankful for the Career Center’s help, and am really looking forward to sharing my experiences with fellow DePaul students!
Jill Rule
Hi everyone! My name is Jill and this is my first year as a PCAP. I’m originally from a small town in northeast Iowa, but wanted a change from all the corn so I came to Chicago. I’m currently a senior pursuing a degree in Political Science. During my time here at DePaul I have helped to create the DePaul Aikido Club and am currently working towards my leadership certificate through the Student Leadership Institute. I have also used the Career Center extensively throughout my time here at DePaul, and I am thrilled to now be a part of the team which has helped me so much over the last four years. Everyone should definitely come check us out.
